FrieslandCampina Ingredients, the global innovator in healthy and functional ingredients, has announced it will return to this year’s SupplySide West exhibition (2 – 3 November) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company will be showcasing its latest protein and prebiotic ingredient innovations, including the newly launched Biotis® GOS-OP High Purity, and sharing how it can help brands unlock opportunities in both the supplement and functional food and drinks markets at booth #2021.

Introducing: Biotis® GOS-OP High Purity

As scientific research continues to highlight the pivotal role a healthy gut microbiome plays in holistic health, consumer interest in gut health is on the rise. To help manufacturers overcome common challenges associated with formulating prebiotic supplements, FrieslandCampina Ingredients will be showcasing its brand new Biotis® GOS-OP High Purity at Supply Side West 2022.


Developed using a patent-pending process, the ingredient delivers a higher concentration of available GOS – typically around 94% – significantly higher than other prebiotics available on the market. Research has also substantiated the efficacy of Biotis® GOS-OP High Purity at doses as low as 2 grams.[1] As a result, this novel ingredient creates opportunities for brands to provide effective dosages of prebiotics in smaller and convenient supplement formats, such as tablets, capsules and gummies.

Nearly one quarter of consumers plan to eat more plant-based foods.[3] To inspire product development that meets consumers’ taste and texture expectations, FrieslandCampina Ingredients will be showcasing its range of Plantaris™ plant-based protein powder solutions in the New Product Zone. Plantaris™ Pea Isolate 85 A and Plantaris™ Faba Isolate 90 A provide up to 25 grams of high-quality protein per serving to meet the growing demand for plant-based proteins that are nutritious and mimic dairy’s taste and texture.


Protein fortification on-the-go

To help brands tap into consumer demand for healthy-on-the-go products, FrieslandCampina Ingredients will be showcasing its latest fortified clear protein water concept in the New Product Zone. Built using Nutri Whey™ Isolate Clear and Biotis® GOS, this application is low in calories and highly nutritious, delivering 20g of Protein and 5g of prebiotic galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) per 500ml serving to supporting muscle strength and gut health in one convenient and refreshing solution.
