Making a stand for innovation
The FrieslandCampina Ingredients booth impressed with its innovations in different segments. Highlights included FrieslandCampina Domo’s Vivinal Milk Fat and Vivinal GOS powder, FrieslandCampina Kievit’s ‘Extra Texture’ foaming creamer range and the Vana-Monte DP9 and FrieslandCampina Creamy Creation’s mocktails and nutritional beverages for weight management and sport.
At the FiE Innovation Awards, FrieslandCampina Kievit’s ‘Extra Texture’ foaming creamer, Vana-Cappa 26W, took first place in the ‘Best Beverage Innovation’ category. Vana-Cappa 26W is an ‘extra texture’ foaming creamer that meets consumer needs for an indulgent café-style coffee at home. It turns an instant Italian-style coffee into an indulgent experience with improved foam texture, structure, stability, and a delicious taste.
Friesland Campina’s Vana-Monte DP96, the first whipping agent made of refined non-HVO vegetable oils, was also nominated as a finalist in the ‘Best Bakery Innovation’ category.
Double seminar success
FrieslandCampina also held two well attended seminars at the FiE trade fair. Unleashing huge potential by moving technological boundaries looked at addressing indulgence, convenience, health, affordability and a responsible lifestyle with one groundbreaking product. Consumer insights on protein focused on the benefits consumers associate with protein and shared the sensory screening results of different proteins to give participants a head start in profiting from the global protein trend.
